NOTES:
Cue the music - the estate grown Frontenac is back! This release features barrels that were filled back in the 2018 vintage from vines on the property that are over 20 years old. Frontenac is a cold hardy variety, meaning that it can survive these harsh winters we see here in Wisconsin. The fruit was hand harvested and fermented in these large, stainless dairy fermenters that allow for optimal color extraction and ferment temps.
Frontenac is a wine that keeps us coming back for more. It’s vibrant with acidity, filled with characters of ripe cherries and has a medium to low tannin profile put still packs a punch. The wine saw a combination of new and neutral oak - allowing for the style of the grape to shine through. We blend a tiny bit of Merlot to our Frontenac giving it just a tiny bit more power behind each taste.
We often open this bottle with a slight chill, surrounded by friends. We hope you enjoy this most recent red release from LSV!
